stories from the road

Am I a traveler or a vacationer? Well, it seems to me that travelers interact with their newfound environment while vacationers simply relax. And while a margarita or two on a faraway beach sounds mighty nice, it's more than likely that I'll be traveling -- exploring new places and old and bringing the stories from the road to you, the reader. And I sure hope to have plenty of input from my cyberaudience along the way!

What will I be doing on the road? Acting as scout, muse, friend, co-conspirator and chronicler of events. My objective with Road Sage is to visit places both big and small and find that which is refreshing, useful and fun. Then I'll piece it together in a tantalizing tale for your conspicuous consumption. The pieces will be short and sweet (I know you're busy), hopefully funny and filled with the kind of advice and information you'll need if you want to try and do this yourself someday. Along with each piece will be a more compact "highlights" section and a slew of pix, and I'll even throw in a quiz every now and again.

Road Sage is designed to provide you stories, photos and quick tips on a variety of destinations. You can send me email while I'm on the road if you've got a question or comment or can simply post your thoughts to our handy-dandy message board. And don't forget the quiz, a must for trivia buffs and wannabe Jeopardy contestants.

Hope you enjoy the stories from the road! And happy trails, always.
